This is Seattle's Pike Place Market and one of the most popular destinations for locals and tourists alike. This tour begins at the new Olympic Sculpture Park where you will learn different approaches to photographing sculpture, how to interpret light, frame scenes and composition. Then you will walk over to The Pike Place Market where entertaining fish sellers toss fish, local artists sell from open air tables, and farmers sell their colorful produce. Learn how to shoot environmental portraits, still life, and how to shoot in mixed lighting. Street performers, vibrant flower stands, and tarot readers make this a favorite photographic location. There will be many foods to try and Seattle's beloved coffee to drink, so don't worry about missing lunch.

On your walk, you will stop and look out at Puget Sound alive with ferry boats, with the Olympic Mountains dancing in the horizon. Then you will venture down to Pioneer Square, which is the oldest part of the city. On the way, you will pass the Seattle Art Museum and the Harbour steps while discussing architectural photography. Pioneer Square has old brick buildings that house galleries, artist studios, music clubs, and restaurants. This is a great part of the tour to shoot street photography and shoot in black and white. The tour ends at The Elliot Bay Bookstore which you can peruse, they have a cafe downstairs if you want to rest your feet. From there you can go shopping, dine, or take The Seattle Underground Tour (Seattle was burned to the ground in 1889, and built over)

- Please wear a pair of good walking shoes, and bring a lightweight poncho in case it rains. A small bottle of water & sun hat is recommended for high temperatures.
- A lightweight tripod is recommended for evening sessions.
